Christchurch Event Photographer
I’ve been a commercial photographer in Christchurch for more than 15 years and have photographed hundreds of events across New Zealand.
From conferences and awards evenings through to AGMs, staff functions, hospitality events, and brand activations, I’m trusted by organisations to create strong imagery without disrupting the flow of the day.
Whether working with government departments, national brands, businesses, or community organisations, the goal remains the same: capture honest, professional imagery that genuinely reflects the atmosphere and energy of the event.
A Calm Presence in Fast-Paced Environments
Events move quickly, and my approach is simple: stay calm, stay aware, and quietly document the story as it unfolds.
Whether photographing keynote speakers, team-building sessions, candid interactions, networking moments, or formal presentations, I work unobtrusively so people feel comfortable and the event can run naturally.
Experience Beyond the Camera
My background is wide — science, IT, design, mental health support, and community work — all of which helps me read a room, anticipate moments, and adapt to different personalities and environments.
I hold a degree and Honours in Biochemistry and completed a photography degree with academic excellence in 2022.
Away from commercial work, I maintain a personal film-based photography practice, which continues to shape the stillness and intentionality within my work.
I also spend a lot of time outdoors with my dog Kodi or in the sauna — practices that reflect the same calm, grounded mindset I bring to events.
