Aotea celebrated 50 years in Christchurch with an anniversary event at Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre, bringing together speeches, live music, hospitality and an evening of celebration.

With a history spanning more than five decades, Aotea has grown from its early New Zealand roots into a nationwide network of locally owned trade businesses. The anniversary marked an important milestone for the group and the people behind it.

The evening combined speeches, live music, hospitality and plenty of time for guests to connect and celebrate. Bold projection, lighting and graphic forms throughout Te Pae gave the event a distinctive visual identity, reflected across the photography.

The resulting gallery moves between the scale of the venue and quieter candid moments, creating a concise visual record of Aotea’s 50th anniversary celebrations.
